Winter is Coming!
We are pleased to announce the advent of a new line of Adventure Path Plug-Ins ideally suited for the Witches of Winter AP as well as any campaign that ventures into the cold places of the world (or to other worlds entirely), especially those drawing up on the legends and lore of Eastern Europe (and a bit of Scandinavia thrown in as well).
These Winter AP Plug-Ins will be kicking off in January with the latest entry in our fantastic Heroes series, the first in this line penned by a hand other than Legendary co-founder Neil Spicer. These Winter Heroes instead spring from the marvelous mind of Liz Courts! No stranger to LG, Liz laid out a number of our products in 2012, but this will mark her authorial debut, and we are delighted to bring her love for the subject matter and design skills to the table, along with an assortment of amazing artwork from Bob Greyvenstein, who also delivered the knockout designs you’ve seen in Metal Heroes and Nautical Heroes!
Next in line, we’ll be bringing you the Treasury of Winter, a collection of marvelous magic items themed for the depths of winter. From cheery items like the candle-crown of holly, welcome wreath, and festive fox fur to the sinister howling horn and Krampus bag, you’ll find an assortment of items drawn from cultures that dwell in the boreal climes where summer is but a distant dream. Following that, Legendary Villains: Wicked Witches is slated to follow, and yet more to come. If you love the sight of falling snow and the howl of hungry wolves, it is time to celebrate. Winter is not just coming, the bleak midwinter is practically here!
Beneath the Festered Sun by Pedro Coelho
When a heretical priestess met execution at the hands of conspirators, an immortal consort vowed to carry out her dying curse. Now, after centuries of plotting and waiting, the skies finally align to create the perfect conditions for retribution. Amid the gossip and excitation concerning an extraordinary celestial event, one voice alerts deaf ears to the upcoming danger, only to disappear just as an agonizing vulnerability to daylight strikes the population. Overwhelmed, the authorities call upon reinforcements for the thinned out guard, but can the unexpected heroes stop a vengeance set in motion ages ago? To save the soul of a city, they must confront its present and past and destroy the various iterations of a broken enemy—all before the twilight of the Festered Sun.
Beneath the Festered Sun is an adventure path plug-in designed for 3rd-level characters to complement the Egyptian Themed Adventure Path. This sandbox adventure pitches the PCs against an ancient curse, offering an intriguing interlude to the exploration of the necropolis of Owot-ti. The story takes place right before the PCs venture into the third and final exploration site, in the first module of the Egyptian Themed Adventure Path.
The Hidden Temple of Apep and The Library of Thoth by Alex Riggs. Each of these adventures explores ancient and secret temples of the old gods of Egypt. The Hidden Temple of Apep is an adventure for characters of 8th to 10th level that centers on the hidden lair of a murderous serpent cult that is terrorizing the lands around, while The Library of Thoth is for 6th-8th level characters and centers on a long-lost repository of ancient wisdom and eldritch magical secrets.
Fort Scurvy - This high-level pirate adventure involves invading the fearsome fortress of a terrible pirate king with a hand of gold and a heart of coal! The maps should be going out soon for this adventure as I continue revising the text to incorporate more rules involving the troop template and continue massaging the stat blocks, and this book has gotten several new pieces of artwork, including the aforementioned Pirate King!
Spices and Flesh (5th Edition) - A 4th-level pirate adventure for 5th edition featuring smugglers, scoundrels, and a ship that is not what it seems bound for a lost island where hope goes to die.
Beasts of Legend: Boreal Bestiary (5th Edition) - A collection of lavishly detailed 5th edition monsters perfect for adventures in the frozen forests and empty tundra of the far north.
